Another day of running and yoga...this time I had yoga immediately after running, so I was still sweaty...don't know if that's kosher in the yoga world?

Last night I went to Home Simply Yoga in Santa Monica. It is an Ashtanga Yoga studio and they just started a donation based class on Tuesday and Thursday nights with an instructor names Ally. (Again. What's up with all the yoga teacher's named Ally? :) Anyway, this studio was QUITE different from Bryan Kest Power Yoga. I took a Beginner's class and it was very slow paced and concentrated. I found myself really getting into the breathing in this class, which was extremely meditative. I think this class would be great to take in conjunction with the Bryan Kest class because it forces you to learn each pose correctly and in its entirety.

Oh! One last note. The decor of the place was fantastic. I loved the feel - there were heated wood floors, and beige warm walls, and they offer you tea or water when you are there. Here is a photo taken by Jasper Johal I got off of their site:

Heated wooden floors, nice, I would just want to lie down and nod off!

Thanks for the referral
